Mr. Kesami Saito (AIMR Common Equipment Room staff) won the 56th Japan Institute of Metals and Materials Technical Skill Award

Mr. Kesami Saito, who works in the Common Equipment Room of AIMR as a technical assistant, won the 56th Japan Institute of Metals and Materials Technical Skill Award. This award was given in recognition of his long years of experience in providing experimental support for research equipment, research sample preparation, structural analysis using X-ray diffraction, and surface observation using atomic force microscopy.
The AIMR Common Equipment Room has been established to centralize the management and operation of commonly used experimental equipment in order to reduce the administrative burden on individual laboratories and to ensure the efficient use of research resources. By having specialized technical assistants manage and maintain the equipment, it also aims to maintain an optimal environment for the use of the experimental equipment and improve the quality of research. This award proves the usefulness of the AIMR Common Equipment Room, which provides a full support system for young researchers and international researchers, and that these steady activities to support researchers are the foundation for producing innovative research results.
