Prof. Motoko Kotani, Prof. Hao Li received FY2026 Commendation for Science and Technology by the MEXT


In the FY2026 Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Prof. Motoko Kotani—Principal Investigator at AIMR and Advisor to the President at Tohoku University (also Executive Director of Science at RIKEN)—has received the Prizes for Science and Technology. In addition, Prof. Hao Li, Distinguished Professor at Tohoku University and Principal Investigator at AIMR, has received the Young Scientists’ Award.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on April 15, 2026, at the MEXT.
