Assoc. Prof. Hiroshi Kakinuma selected for the KIRAMEKI Award under the TANAKA Memorial Foundation

Assoc. Prof. Hiroshi Kakinuma, Jr. PI at the AIMR, has received the KIRAMEKI Award under the TANAKA Memorial Foundation’s FY2025 “Precious Metals Research Grants.”

The TANAKA Memorial Foundation aims to pioneer and foster new fields in precious metals, contributing to the development of academia, technology, and society. As part of its activities, the foundation supports innovative initiatives aimed at exploring “a new world opened up by precious metals” through these research grants.

Dr. Kakinuma received this award, which recognizes promising early-career researchers, for his research project titled “Establishment of Microstructural Design Guidelines for Pd Alloys to Realize the Ultimate Hydrogen Permeable Membrane.”
