Prof. Hao Li featured in ACS Axial interview

An interview featuring Professor Hao Li, Distinguished Professor at Tohoku University and Principal Investigator at AIMR, has been featured in “Open Science Conversations,” an interview series published by ACS Axial, the official web platform of the American Chemical Society (ACS).
This series explores how open science and open access (OA) are influencing the dissemination and utilization of research findings amid changes in the structure of academic communication, focusing on researchers active on the global stage.
Li was selected for the interview not only for his 2025 paper in the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS), which serves as a notable example of OA publishing, but also for his pioneering efforts in open data—specifically, building and publicly sharing more than 10 specialized materials databases.
In the interview, Li highlights the benefits of Tohoku University’s Article Processing Charge (APC) support program for early-career researchers, while sharing his perspectives on OA and his outlook for the future.
