Delegates from KEK visited AIMR
On August 21, 2025, Executive Director Yuko Nagano and her colleagues from the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK) visited AIMR.
After an overview presentation of AIMR, they visited the Sato Laboratory to observe its state-of-the-art measurement equipment.
AIMR at Tohoku University was launched in 2007 as one of the centers established by the WPI (World Premier International Research Center Initiative) with the support of the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). Similarly, as a WPI center, International Center for Quantum-field Measurement Systems for Studies of the Universe and Particles (QUP) was established at KEK in 2021. During the discussion, there was an active exchange of views on organizational management as a WPI center. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for their visit.
