Joint Workshop with the University of Washington
After the discussion at Sato Lab on June 9
On June 9-10, 2025, Professor Xiaodong Xu, Professor Di Xiao, and Assistant Professor Ting Cao from the University of Washington visited AIMR.
On the first day, discussions were held with researchers from Tohoku University working in related fields, including the Kato, Ozawa, Otsuka, and Sato Laboratories at AIMR. On the following day, the “University of Washington–Tohoku University Quantum Materials Workshop” was held, where latest research advances were presented in the fields of two-dimensional (2D) materials, topological materials, semiconductor heterostructures, and quantum materials including these systems. Q&A sessions and discussions were lively, providing a valuable opportunity for future collaborative research and development of cooperative partnerships. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for their visit.
