Senator Ken Akamatsu visits AIMR
On September 7, 2026, Senator Ken Akamatsu visited AIMR.
As part of his focus on promoting digital technology and development—a key policy priority—Senator Akamatsu visited AIMR to observe its cutting-edge research in materials science.
Following an overview presentation of AIMR by Dr. Maki Suemitsu, director of the Research Support Division, he toured the Kato and Sato laboratories. During the tour, he asked numerous insightful questions, leading to an active and engaging discussion. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for his visit.
