AIMR has signed an inter-departmental academic exchange agreement with the POSTECH GIFT
On May 20, 2026, AIMR concluded an inter-departmental academic exchange agreement with the Graduate Institute of Ferrous and Eco Materials Technology (GIFT), Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), South Korea. The agreement was signed by Prof. Hyoung Seop Kim, Dean of GIFT, and Prof. Shin-ichi Orimo, Director of AIMR.
Prof. Kim has been active as a PI at AIMR since 2022, fostering ongoing exchanges and discussions with AIMR researchers. This agreement was concluded with a commitment to further expand and strengthen our long-standing collaboration.
This agreement is expected to create significant synergies by combining the parties’ advanced expertise in materials development with their strengths in materials informatics and mathematical modeling. We will promote international joint research and academic exchange toward the development of AI-driven next-generation energy materials and the creation of materials for extreme environments.
