Delegates from University of Victoria visited AIMR
On February 16, 2026, AIMR welcomed Dr. Lisa Kalynchuk, Vice President, Research and Innovation, and Dr. Joaquin Tropero, Executive Director, Strategic Research Initiatives, from the University of Victoria, Canada.
The University of Victoria leads the Accelerating Community Energy Transformation (ACET), a large-scale initiative focused on accelerating the clean energy transition through collaborations with universities, local communities, and industry partners across Canada. As part of this initiative, they are placing a strategic focus on hydrogen research.
Similarly, AIMR has established the Open Innovation Center of Hydrogen Science for GX with the aim of applying and expanding AIMR's hydrogen research achievements into industrial fields. With a view toward collaboration in the hydrogen field, the delegation toured the Orimo and Yabu Laboratories, which form the core of this center. The visit was highly interactive with many insightful questions from the delegation, making a valuable step toward building future collaborative research and cooperative frameworks.
