Title: Topological phase transitions of Weyl semimetals and Weyl superconductors



For experimental discovery of topological materials, theoretical prediction is important. In this talk, we introduce topological phase transitions of Weyl semimetals and Weyl superconductors in order to search for these materials. First, we discuss topological phase transitions between a Weyl semimetal and a topological nodal-line semimetal in a spinless system. While topological nodal-line semimetals have both time-reversal and inversion symmetries, spinless Weyl semimetals break either of the two symmetries. Therefore, we investigate topological phase transitions from the nodal-line semimetal phase to the spinless Weyl semimetal phase by breaking time-reversal or inversion symmetry. Next, we also discuss topological phase transitions in three-dimensional odd-parity or noncentrosymmetric superconductors with mirror symmetry when time-reversal symmetry is broken. As a result, it is found that a Weyl superconducting phase generally appears between a trivial and a topological crystalline superconducting phase. We also show how the topological phase transition happens from the trivial to the topological crystalline superconducting phase via the Weyl superconducting phase.
