On the 3rd day of ASSM, Prof. Tanigaki gives a lecture about "Functions of nano materials and their applications to Industries" at seminar room (2nd floor of AIMR main buiding).

On the second day, Prof. Kurihara gives a lecture about "Surface Forces Measurement for Nano-Materials Science and Technology" at seminar room (2nd floor of AIMR main buiding). 

Math Unit organizes Topology Talk Time on every Monday. Today, Dr. Matsue gave a presentation at room 4C of AIMR main building.

The 2012 WPI-AIMR Summer School of Materials Science(ASSM2012) has been started. Summer School is held on 23th - 29th July at AIMR main building and Zao.

Dr. Junqiang Wang from BMG group gave a presentation about "The exploration of degradable metallic alloys for tissue engineering application." Many researchers joined this Tea Time to discuss about his presentation.

The 2nd Friday seminar was held by Math Unit at Combination room. Today's speaker was Dr. Murosaki from Bio Device lab, who gave a presentation about "Antifouling gels against barnacles".

Children carrying the mikoshi (portable shrine) walked through the road in front of AIMR.

Everyone can join this meeting to talk freely about any topics. Today, we talked about several topics including the latest SCIENCE article.

The possible collaboration in the field of hierarchical structure and interface with mathematical approach was discussed in this meeting chaired by Prof. Adschiri and Prof. Hitosugi.

Mathematics Unit organized One-day Workshop on bio-inspired materials. Speakers were the following researchers; Dr. Fujie (Khademhosseini Lab), Dr. Kim (Teizer Lab), Dr. Nakamura (Interface Unit), Dr. Murosaki (Shimomura Lab), and Dr. Yamazaki (Fujifilm).
