Dr. Seung Jong Lee (President of National Research Foundation of Korea), Dr. Yuichiro Anzai (President of JSPS), and Dr. Susumu Satomi (President of Tohoku University) came to AIMR. Deputy Administrative Director Dr. Ikeda explained about AIMR's researches and facilities.

Three managers from Schlumberger Limited came to AIMR. Prof. Nakayama explained about Bulk Metallic Glass at BMG showroom, AIMR laboratory building. 

Mr.Christopher James Lawson, from Australian Government Department of Innovation, Industry, Science, Research and Tertiary Education (DIISRTE), visited AIMR to talk with Director Kotani and Administrative Director Tsukada.

Slovak Academy of Sciences visited AIMR to hear about establishment of the interdisciplinary institute.

Professor K. Jimmy Hsia (Associate Vice Chancellor for Research for New Initiatives, University Illinois) and staff of I2CNER visited to AIMR.

Dr. Subra Suresh, the director of the National Science Foundation, visited AIMR to talked with the dir. Kotani.

Professor Satomi, the president of Tohoku University, came to AIMR.
