Prof. Hirotomo Nishihara awarded the 17th JSPS Prize

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) announced the recipients of the 17th (FY2020) JSPS Prize. Prof. Hirotomo Nishihara, AIMR Principal Investigator, was awarded the prize in recognition of his outstanding research achievements.

This prize was established in FY2004 in order to raise the level of scientific research in Japan to the world’s highest standard by recognizing and supporting young researchers with rich creativity and superlative research ability at an early stage in their careers. It aims to sustain the zeal of such researchers while offering them support in advancing their work.

Prof. Nishihara was honored for his work in “Synthesis of Graphene Sponges and Development of Their New Functions.”
