What’s IAC?
The International Affairs Center (IAC) provides support to international researchers of Tohoku University.
We offer services including necessary information to work for Tohoku University and general living information in Sendai.
Arrival Support
Assistance with arrival, and with the various things required for setting up your new life in Sendai.
Housing Support
Support to international researchers who would like to rent a private apartment.
Shopping Tour
Organizes a local shopping tour within walking distance of Katahira Campus.
Rental Items
Provide rental service (e.g. Microwave oven, Electronic pot, Bicycle) for who have just been appointed from overseas
Orientation
We hold orientations for foreign researchers and for their family who have just arrived at Tohoku University.
Japanese Classes
Holding a Japanese Classes for international researchers and their families once a month.
Mail Magazine
Introduce our supports, local Events information, and recommended souvenirs and gourmets by magazines.
Give & Receive
To be a mediator when international researchers want to give over & receive some daily use. (e.g. Dishes, Home Electronics etc.)
Information
We provide information on bulletin boards and Information Rack, there 3 locations within AIMR main building.
