The Fraunhofer Project Center for MEMS/NEMS devices and manufacturing technologies that was created by Advanced Institute
for Materials Research (AIMR) of Tohoku University and Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in 2012. By this combined effort Tohoku University
and Fraunhofer strife to combine their respective world leading expertise in material science and application oriented research.
The main research topic of this lab is to contribute to the advancement of society by developing and improving micro and nano
devices as well as related technologies. The integration of various new kinds of materials into micro and nano technology allows us
to create devices with novel performance and characteristics.
