Welcom to the Nano Interface Laboratory
World Primer International Research CenterAdvanced Institute for Materials Research Tohoku University
The Nano Interface Technology Research Group (IKUHARA Laboratory) is a part of the WPI Research Center, Advanced Institute for Materials Research at Tohoku University. Our main aim is to better fabricate and design new functional nano-materials by establishing a bridge between materials structures and their physical and chemical properties through a combined experimental and theoretical approach. Our concerns cover a variety of aspects on material research from characterization of atomic structures and electronic states using HVEM and Cs-corrected STEM (with sub-angstrom-resolution) imaging (Fig.1) and spectroscopy to property measurements (e. g. mechanical strength, electrical conductivity, and so forth).
