A Paper about thermally stable stereo Complexed PLA honeycomb films has been published

2016年5月13日金曜日

Hoenycomb patterned polymer films have been employed to cell culturing substrates, which regulate cell adhesion, proliferation and differentiation. For implanting the honeycomb films into a human body, biodegradability is one of the key issues. Usually, autoclave sterilization is used for preventing a patient from unexpected infection, however, usual biodegradable polymers does not have enough thermal stabilities.

In this report, we found that honeycomb films comprised of stereo complexed PLA show high thermal stability enough to autoclave sterilization.

This work will open the way to create a new type of implantable cell culturing scaffold.
