Overview

We look for an assistant professor or a postdoctoral researcher to work on collaboration between mathematical science and medicine. Successful applicants will be members of the mathematical science team (will open in a new tab) in the JST moonshot program “Challenge for Eradication of Diabetes and Comorbidities through Understanding and Manipulating Homeostatic Systems (will open in a new tab) ” (Project Manager: Hideki Katagiri, Tohoku University,). Research topics of this job vacancy include the followings.
  • Mathematical modeling and implementations for various phenomena in circulatory, metabolic, and nervous systems in a human body.
  • Mathematical approaches and their implementations aimed at unification of experiments and computations including data assimilation, parameter identification, or uncertainty quantifications.
