The Advanced Institute for Materials Research (AIMR) of Tohoku University invites applications for one Assistant Professor or one Postdoc researchr position.
This position serves researches for materials science in collaboration with Prof. S. Mizukami and other researchers in WPI-AIMR.
Research fields are Optical/THz science using ultrashort pulse lasers, data-driven materials science, and spintronics devices/materials.

Term
  • Assistant professor -Initial appointments will be made on a fixed-term contract for five years, subsequently renewable based on achievement, but the total employment period shall not exceed seven years.
  • PD 1 year – The contract can be renewed each year subject to mutual agreement, continued funding, and applicable institutional policy (such as any term limit, typically three (3) years for postdocs)
Starting date May 1, 2020 or earliest possible date
