Recruitment of A Researcher (Assistant Professor)
The Advanced Institute for Materials Research (AIMR) of Tohoku University invites applications for one Assistant Professor position. Requisites are strong research interests in mathematics (analysis), applied mathematics and related areas. Successful applicants are expected to be active and show exceptional potential for leadership in interdisciplinary collaborations between mathematics and other scientific areas.
Tohoku University WPI-AIMR was established on October 1, 2007 as one of the top five research centers in Japan under the World Premier International Research Center Initiative (WPI Program) run by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. From April, 2017, it has been a member of the Organization for Advanced Studies (OAS), Tohoku University. The Mathematical Science Group of AIMR has been playing an important role during this history to forge strong bonds between mathematics and material sciences. Now, the Mathematical Science Group of AIMR intends to continue its activities and also to widen its scope to encompass a broader perspective of research progress.
