Prof. Ayumi Hirano-Iwata selected as Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) Fellow

Prof. Ayumi Hirano-Iwata, Principal Investigator at AIMR, was selected as the 13th Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) Fellow.

This fellow award shall be presented to members who have contributed to the progress of applied physics through their achievements in academic research, in the development and fostering of industrial technology, and in human resource cultivation and education in educational and public-interest activities through continuous activities in JSAP.

Prof. Hirano-Iwata was selected as the recipient of the fellow award in recognition of her achievement “Reconstitution of Biological Functions Based on Fusion of Microfabrication and Biomaterials and Its Application.”

The award ceremony will be held at the 80th JSAP Autumn Meeting 2019 (September 18-21, 2019) at Hokkaido University, Sapporo.
