Prof. Tomasz Dietl selected as Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) Fellow International

Prof. Tomasz Dietl, Principal Investigator at AIMR, was selected as the 13th Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) Fellow International.

This fellow award shall be presented to members who have contributed to the progress of applied physics through their achievements in academic research, in the development and fostering of industrial technology, and in human resource cultivation and education in educational and public-interest activities through continuous activities in JSAP.

In addition, the JSAP Fellow International Award was established in 2012 to recognize individuals living overseas who have contributed significantly to the progress of JSAP. Prof. Dietl was selected as the recipient of the Fellow International Award in recognition of his achievement “International Collaborations and Pioneering Research on Semiconductor Spintronics.”

The award ceremony will be held at the 80th JSAP Autumn Meeting 2019 (September 18-21, 2019) at Hokkaido University, Sapporo. Prof. Dietl will give a special lecture during the meeting.
