Synthetic technology is a powerful tool for development of useful organic and inorganic materials, such as organic electronic materials, nanostructured metallic particles, wires, tubes, and so on. Particularly, promotion of energy savings and development of renewable energy technology are global issues, and investigation of effective reusable catalysts and photovoltaic materials are important research objectives. In our group, we are studying a variety of newly designed nanostructured metals as effective reusable catalysts. Furthermore, we are preparing many types of π -conjugated organic compounds and evaluating the organic field effect transistor (OFET) property and power conversion efficiency (PCE) for solar cells.
